Rick Riordan cannot leave me like this!!! a cliffhanger right at the end.
Well, by this far, Riordan has mastered his storytelling way and he is constantly providing the thropes we are used to. Still, I like it when I know what I've signed for.
Once again, Percy is the hero. I never got his part of the prophecy or why Frank has the gift he has, but as in other works from the author, I assume that everything will be clearly explained in the last book of this series.
Hazel and Frank had to be somehow parallels to Piper and Leo. And I believe that Jason is portrayed with many of the characteristics of Percy but not overshadowing him. I wish I knew more of the battles of Camp Jupiter while Camp Half-Blood was trying to defeat Chronos.
Percy continues to be an ideal hero. he is resourceful and has certain disregard for rules. He is still true to his heart, what makes him dangerous for the gods.
The detail of the Art of War by Tzun Su as the gift that Mars gives his son is meaninful in many levels. This certainly was not my favorite of all the books but still, Riordan knows its target and I fully fall into his charm.
